Internships

International Studies students are encouraged to complement their academic curriculum with the experiential learning provided by an internship.  We run our own internship program and many of our majors have been placed in local, national, and international agencies at home and abroad.  Interning does not prolong time to graduation since the university allows up to 15 hours of internship credit (with five of those hours counting toward the IS major or minor) to count towards the undergraduate degree.  Interning is valuable for introducing you to the workplace, helping you make career choices, and allowing you to put into practice knowledge gained in the classroom.
