Peace Corps Information Session - January 28, 2019!

On Monday, January 28, International Studies is hosting a special information session for those of you interested in the Peace Corps!

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Laura Joseph has been the Assistant Director for the Center for African Studies since 2003. Her professional experience includes eight years with a local refugee resettlement agency, the Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association, and eight years with Catholic Relief Services working on development and relief projects in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and other countries. She spent two years as an ESL teacher with the Peace Corps in the People’s Republic of Benin in West Africa, and a year teaching ESL at Ashland College. As an undergraduate, she studied Humanities in International Affairs through the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. As a graduate student, she attended Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies in Washington, earning an MA in Economics and Social Change and Development. She completed a Master’s in Public Health at OSU in 2011.
