Scholarship Opportunity - Apply By May 1, 2019!

The Columbus Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) awards an annual scholarship to students interested in a career in the private security, law enforcement, or criminal justice professions. The 2019 application cycle is currently open, and the deadline to apply is May 1, 2019 at 5:00 pm, EST.

To be eligible applicants must:

  • Be a part-time or a fulltime student who has completed their freshman year at an accredited college or university in the Columbus Chapter area.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Applicants must be accepted and enrolled in classes in the school term immediately following the receipt of an award.

ASIS International is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests. ASIS also advocates the role and value of the security management profession to business, the media, government entities, and the public. ASIS members are the heads of security divisions of hospitals, insurance companies, retail outlets, and hotels. They are also security service or product vendors.

The scholarship award was established by the ASIS Columbus Chapter and is administered by The Columbus Foundation.
