Upcoming Summer Internship & Opportunity Fair

Opportunity Fair

Got plans for summer 2022?

The Summer Internship & Opportunity Career Fair - Feb 15 in person and Feb 16 virtual - is the perfect way to explore resume-building opportunities for summer 2022.

Who: More than 90 employers (and growing!) are excited to connect with you and discuss available internships, volunteer opportunities, and part-time/full-time work in the following areas:
• Business-related functions
• Nonprofit management
• Summer and recreation camp counseling and management
• And more!
What's more, this career fair's spotlight on diversity, equity and inclusion means you will encounter local, region, and national organizations dedicated to diversity. To learn more about the diversity, equity, and inclusion statements and practices of our participating employers, click HERE.

Why Attend: This is a great, low-key event to stretch and strengthen your networking skills while exploring (and perhaps securing!) a summer resume-builder.

When and Where:
• Feb 15th in the Ohio Union, Archie M Griffin Grand Ball Room | 11:30am-3:30pm
• Feb 16th on the Handshake platform | 12:30-4:30pm

Special thanks to our industry sponsors AmplifyBio and Teach for America.

We are proud to partner with the Black Advertising Strategic Communication Association (BASCA) to deliver this event.

HELPFUL DETAILS FOR THE IN-PERSON EVENT ON FEB 15:
• Registration is required for the Virtual fair on Feb 16. For the in-person fair on Feb 15, all you have to bring is a valid BuckID and your mask.
• It’s a good idea to dress professionally, but it’s also okay to come in casual attire. The most important thing is to attend!
• Resumes are not required but employers do appreciate them.
• The ideal way to prepare is to research a handful of target companies, but more than anything, be open to and enthusiastic about meeting with employers and asking about their company, industry, and opportunities.
• Drop-ins are okay. It’s great if you can dedicate an hour, but your schedule may only allow 20 minutes. That works, too!
