This course will examine the tenets of intelligence analysis through the lens of significant historical case studies. Students will use real-world examples to apply the core principles of intelligence tradecraft and critical thinking. Through every-other week simulations, students will act as intelligence analysts, assessing various types of information to predict future events.

Students will then be asked to produce written analysis and briefings that support their assessments. While largely focused on national security and international relations, the course aims to develop broader critical thinking skills that are applicable to any field that requires data-driven evaluations.
