This course focuses on the application of international trade theory and policy to real-world business and trade decisions. Students will explore the historical significance of global trade to the U.S. economy and consider its evolving role in shaping future economic outcomes. Student will also learn to critically evaluate trade policy proposals, distinguishing between evidence-based analysis and simplistic or ideologically driven arguments

This course emphasizes how trade theory can be used to address challenges faced by firms operating in a global marketplace. By the end of this course, students will be able to build a rigorous framework for understanding trade dynamics, equipping them with tools to navigate complex policy debates.
