The Center for Career and Professional Success is hosting a “Life Beyond Degree,” two-part program for International Studies majors! Below are brief descriptions of the events and a link to RSVP!
Life Beyond Degree (LBD) events support students in the Discovery Phase by increasing their awareness of career options and career readiness competencies (CRCs) through interactions with alumni and other Career Success Champions. You are encouraged to register for both Parts 1 & 2 of Life Beyond Degree: International Studies. If you miss Part 1 you are still encouraged to attend Part 2. Don't miss this chance to build your professional network!

This engaging workshop will help you understand the characteristics of a good elevator pitch and why it's necessary. You’ll learn how to incorporate the career readiness competencies into your elevator pitch and have the opportunity to prepare and practice your own. You will then be equipped to implement the strategies learned in this workshop when connecting with alumni during Life Beyond Degree International Studies, Part 2: Mix and Mingle with International Studies Alumni which will take place the following week. Additional content covered during Part 1 includes utilizing social media to connect with alumni and employers.
