Individual Career Counseling
Receive individual attention to assist you in discovering how your interests, values, skills, and personality traits connect with majors and careers. Also explore personal concerns related to career decision making.
Career Assessments
Utilize the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, and StrengthsQuest to help generate career preferences, interests, and skills based on your unique characteristics.
Career Exploration
Get help identifying your interests and connecting to resources that will allow you to gain insight into careers. Learn how to test your options with internships, informational interviews, voluteering, and extracurricular activities.
Job/Graduate School Assistance
Develop the tools (resumes, vitae, cover letters, and personal statements) necessary to promote yourself to employers and schools. Also improve your interviewing skills through mock interviews.
Workshops and Group Counseling
Take part in on-site career related programs for student organizations, residence halls, academic programs, and other departments on campus.
Career Exploration Course
Consider enrolling in EDUPAES 2270.02 if you have questions about your major, career, or the job search process. In collaboration with the College of Education and Human Ecology, this class is taught in the Younkin Success Center, is graded S/U and is worth 2 credit hours.
