The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship invites recent college and graduate school alumni to apply for six to nine month fellowships in Washington, DC focusing on arms control, peace, and international security issues. Founded in 1987 to develop and train the next generation of leaders on a range of peace and security issues, the program has awarded 193 fellowships to date.

Scoville Fellows work with one of more than two dozen participating public-interest organizations. Fellows mayundertake a variety of activities that support their host organization, including research, writing, public education, and advocacy on a range of security issues. These issues include nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons, non-proliferation, weapons trade, environmental security, diplomacy, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, and emerging technology threats.
