Anne Fitzpatrick is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics at The Ohio State University. Fitzpatrick attended Cornell University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. After working at the Federal Reseve as a Research Assistant, Fitzpatrick went on to receive a dual Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy at the University of Michigan. Prior to her employment at Ohio State, Fitzpatrick worked at the University of Massachsuetts Boston. Fitzpatrick’s research focuses on health and education topics in developing countries, with a particular emphasis on women and children. She specializes in conducting randomized evaluations aimed at testing policies to improve health care and education quality, with the ultimate goal of improving the well-being of individuals worldwide.
